SPI Belt

I came across the SPI Belt when the Adidas newsletter came to my email and voila, I fell in love with the words 'bounce-free'!!! Since I was going for the ultra-marathon, surely I need a place to put my Powergels and Powerbars. I thought of wearing a sports blazer but oh no, it is too heavy! Thus, SPI Belt is what I decided on.

SPI Belt are initials that stand for Small, Personalized Items Belt. It is a stretchable yet tight belt tat can be adjusted to one's waist or hip size, according to how comfortable they are with it. It was sold at a special retail price of S$29.00 and comes in many colours. Ji Min got me the neon one (THANKS!) and yes, we both tried it out and yes, it IS bounce-free! It feels annoying when your items keep bouncing while you run. So, this SPI Belt really knows its stuffs.

You are able to put your keys, Powergels, Powerbars, Ipod Shuffle, etcetra into it while you run. Just be mindful that bounce-free does not equate to anti-gravity. Putting just two Powergels will make you feel the extra weight at your hip area and it is not very good to run with unnecessary extra weight. Especially when u are running long distances.

If you prefer to sling the Belt across your body, it totally allows that too! The clutch is very tight and hard to release so you can be assured the belt will not break halfway. The pictures will be up later.

  2. Halo, Wei Sian~

I got mine at the promotion when I was collecting my Sundown Race Pack. I believe it is sold in Athlete's Circle though I don't really know where that is. You can always try sports shop. They will have but check out the prices. I think it varies insignificntly.

Keep running because you know you want to,
